For over a century, formal clinical education has been part of the Baptist Health System mission in San Antonio, TX. In the 21st century, this educational opportunity has extended also to Phoenix, AZ. The Baptist Health System School of Health Professions is a place for excellent beginnings – the fundamental steps to get you started on a rewarding career.

The School of Health Professions offers programs and coursework in professional and vocational nursing, surgical technology and medical imaging to prepare students for clinical roles in health care. Our graduates are well prepared for immediate entry-level positions within their specialties. Through the use of classroom instruction, laboratory simulations, and clinical rotations, students are guided and prepared for clinical practice. Using state-of-the art, distance-learning technology, some programs are taught simultaneously in San Antonio and Phoenix through live interactive sessions. Excellent faculty members, prepared both academically and clinically, enrich the learning experience with theoretical and clinical expertise.

With their strong clinical and theoretical backgrounds, graduates are prepared with outstanding entry-level job skills and foundation coursework that pave the way for continued growth throughout their professional lives.
