• Accelerated Alternate Delivery (AAD) ST -Online

  This program is implemented to meet the demand for professional certified Surgical Technologists. The 24-week on-line didactic course is designed for practicing Surgical Technologists who completed on-the- job training before March 1, 2000, graduates from non-accredited Surgical Technology programs, and medical doctors or registered nurses with prior surgical experience. All applicants must be able to provide verifiable proof of clinical practicum experience and demonstrated surgical competencies.

• Magnetic Resonance Imaging - (Online)

  Registered Radiologic Technologist with the ARRT  (RT License)

   

• Nurse Aide

  No prerequisites are required at this time.

• Diagnostic Medical Sonography

  Applicants must have met one of the following criteria:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiography Program
  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (RN)
  • Medical Doctorate
  • B.S./B.A. in Biological or Health Related Science

  Consistent with the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (asrt) revised curriculum requirements the following of 15 semester credits of general education prerequisites are now required:

  • Anatomy and Physiology, 6-8 semester credits (3 credits count toward the 15)
  • Math (mathematical/logical reasoning), 3 semester credits (mandatory math credit)
  • English (written/oral communication), 3 semester credits (mandatory English credit)

  Applicants must also have 6 elective semester credits representing a variety of areas in Arts/Humanities or Information Systems or Behavioral Sciences/and or Natural Science.

• LVN to RN Advanced Placement Nursing (AAS)

  A valid Texas LVN License. 

  3 months of LVN work experience if graduation has been within 1 year or 6 months of LVN work experience if graduation has been greater than one year but less than 2 years. 

  Anatomy & Physiology with Lab, 8 credit hours
  Microbiology with Lab , 4 credit hours

  Intro to Psychology, 3 credit hrs

• Associate of Applied Science in Nursing

  Anatomy & Physiology with Lab, 8 credit hrs
  Microbiology with Lab, 4 credit hrs

  Intro to Psychology, 3 credit hrs

• Perioperative Nursing

  Registered Nurse - must possess current Texas RN Licensure
  Graduate Nurse - eligible to sit for the NCLEX exam

  Note: The NCLEX must be successfully passed prior to the end of the course in order to receive a certificate of completion.

• Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology

   

  • Anatomy and Physiology with Lab 4 semester credits
  • College Math  3 semester credits

   

   

• Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology

  College English - 3 semester credit hours (composition, speech communication)

  College Math - 3 semester credit hours (not remedial math)

• Vocational Nursing

  Anatomy & Physiology, 6 to 8 credit hours*
  Growth & Development, 3 credit hours

  * It is recommended to take a LAB with Anatomy & Physiology if the learner's goal is to apply to a professional nursing program in the future.
