Jacqueline Becerra: BSHP Alumni and Tenet Hero!

I want to say that the BSN program has increased my knowledge as a nurse and most of as a leader. This past year has been a challenge especially with my busy schedule in school, work, church, and home. I have gained the knowledge needed to meet the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, developmental and spiritual needs of the patients and communities that I care for. I have gain leadership skills, self-confidence and personal integrity. The BSN program has motivated me to pursued my MSN degree. I was once told that I have a teaching, preaching, healing faith and that’s what drew me to nursing. I love to teach, to increase the knowledge of my patients on disease processes. Preach on health to motivate and inspire my patients to self-care for themselves at home. Healing is all about the good health. To conclude, I love the interaction of people and being able to teach and play the role of an advocate. I pride myself in knowing that I will help contribute to change and make nursing a rewarding career. This BSN program has help me realize that excellence and compassion for nursing is an internal desire personally. As my journey begins it will consist of professionalism, integrity, loyalty, and honestly.
