General education courses are the foundation of Baptist School of Health Profession's undergraduate curriculum, and draw on the expertise of faculty located across the country. Our goal is to provide students with a core curriculum that will enable them to think critically and be adept at bringing their knowledge and problem solving skills into new settings to complement their chosen programs. The courses are designed to enhance students' ability to communicate effectively, understand the diversity of the human experience, as well as personal and social responsibilities. Students will gain perspectives on people from various cultures and backgrounds, including awareness of the contributions and diversity of human activity. General education courses aim to encourage students to be dedicated to life-long learning and committed to making positive contributions to society by exploring their own talents, experiencing personal growth, and increasing their ability to be a value to their community. The following programs at BSHP have general education course requirements:
- AAS Professional Nursing
- AAS Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- AAS Radiologic Technology
- AAS Surgical Technology
- BS Healthcare Management
General education courses are taught fully online and offered throughout the academic year. For general education course descriptions, please see the academic catalog.
