The 2020 Master Teacher award winner is Kimberly Barnett.  She is recognized for her work of being an outstanding allied health faculty member who shows exceptional skill, innovation, and effectiveness promoting student learning, professionalism, collegiality, and self-confidence.

Kim has been instrumental in leading the Vocational Nursing Department in providing quality learning experiences for students in the clinical setting. She has actively searched for ways to blend clinical and theoretical concepts, and has secured opportunities for students to learn about the professional role of nurses, with special emphasis on the most current infection control practices and procedures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under her careful instruction, the vocational nursing students have consistently been held accountable for working as a team to provide safe, state-of-the-art bedside care.

Thank you Kimberly for role-modeling dedication to clinical excellence through education.
