If caring is your calling and you are an ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist or a NMTCB Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist the Computed Tomography program offers students the opportunity upon successful completion of all coursework to sit for the Registry in CT offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. Registered Radiologic Technologists or Nuclear Medicine Technologists with an additional registry in Computed Tomography will work with the following Computed tomography CT scanners; High-speed multi-slice computed tomography CT scanners; Positron emission tomography/computed tomography PET/CT scanners.

Medical Imaging Advancement

This program is implemented to meet the demand for highly educated Computed Tomography (CT) technologists. The program is a two-semester on-line didactic course with a clinical practicum experience. Upon completion, the graduate becomes a candidate who will be fully prepared to take the Advanced Certification Registry in CT offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. This program is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) and licensed by the Texas Workforce Commission.

Admission Requirements

  • Complete the online application and enrollment agreement.
  • Complete a Moodle orientation short course and certify that the applicant has the required computer access and capability required of all online course applicants.
  • Completion of an approved JRCERT Program.
  • Must be ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist or NMTCB Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
