Timely Emergency Notifications

Emergency notifications from the School of Health Professions will be sent out through a system called Tenet AlertMedia. Students and employees will receive notifications through cell phone or desk phone voice messages and email or text messages.

In case of an emergency situation on campus that would trigger a timely warning notification, look to your instructor, administrative staff, security officer, or other person “in charge” for the best course of action.

Personal Contact

It is critical that all students keep their personal contact information up to date.

To update your personal contact information:

  1. Log in to SONIS
  2. Click on “Update Bio”
  3. Fill out fields (Phone, Cell Phone) - *Type in your cell phone number for both Phone and Cell Phone fields.
  4. Select “Cell Provider”
  5. Check the “Text Me Flag” box
  6. Click “Submit”

Emergency Contact

In the event we need to reach someone on your behalf, it’s important your emergency contact information is up to date.

To update your emergency contact information:

  1. Log in to SONIS
  2. Click on “Emergency Contacts”
  3. Click on “Add New Contact”
  4. Fill out fields
  5. Click “Submit”


Weather Alerts will come from 210-297-RAIN (7246).

Key this number into your contacts as an emergency notification source so you’ll recognize an alert when you see it.
